PM praises Team Pakistan for good display of bowling against India in ICC T20 World Cup
ISLAMABAD, Jun 09 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday praised a display of good bowling by Pakistan cricket team in their crucial qualifying fixture against archrival India in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, being underway in New York, USA.
On his X account, the prime minister posted “Great bowling by Team Pakistan against India in New York today. I am confident that the tournament will witness a great game of cricket!”
The prime minister wished the Green Shirts a good chase as India playing first was bowled out for 119 runs in 19 overs.
Till filing of this news, Pakistan were 15 without any loss in 2 overs.

Islamic Affairs Ministry Receives 460 Pilgrims from 47 Countries Within Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program
ISLAMABAD, Jun 09 (APP): The Ministry of Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Dawah, and Guidance continues to welcome guests as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit.
This initiative, carried out and supervised by the ministry, is in accordance with the royal order to host 2,322 male and female Hajj pilgrims from 88 countries.
Today, the program welcomed 460 Hajj pilgrims from 47 countries, bringing the total to 494 pilgrims from 51 countries. These guests benefit from a comprehensive system of services provided by the ministry to ensure they can perform Hajj rituals easily and conveniently.
The ministry aims to reflect a dignified image of moderate Islamic awareness, highlight the efforts of the wise leadership in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, and employ all possible means to facilitate the performance of Hajj and Umrah rituals and visits to the Two Holy Mosques for large numbers of Muslims who are influential in their communities.

PM grieved over shahadat of security personnel in Lakki Marwat
ISLAMABAD, Jun 09 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday while reiterating the resolve to continue fighting against terrorism till its complete elimination, expressed his deep grief over shahadat of seven security personnel, including Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas shaheed, in a terrorist attack in District Lakki Marwat.
The prime minister prayed for the bereaved families to bear the losses with equanimity, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
He said that the entire nation saluted the law enforcement agencies for their services and unprecedented sacrifices and stood with the brave Jawans.
The prime minister also resolved to make terrorists accountable.
