RAWALPINDI, Aug 15 (APP): In connection with the Field General Court Martial (FGCM) proceedings of Lt General (R) Faiz Hameed, three retired officers were also in military custody for their actions prejudicial to military discipline.
Further investigations of certain retired officers and their accomplices for fomenting instability at the behest of and in collusion with vested political interests, are continuing, an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release said on Thursday.

Two persons of gang arrested, 2 motorcycles recovered
CHICHAWATNI, Aug 15 (APP):The police on Thursday nabbed two persons of a bike lifter gang and recovered 2 motorcycles from their possession.
The police spokesman said that the arrested persons had confessed to lift many motorcycles in the area.
The police teams had been formed to arrest other persons of the gang, he added.
The police registered cases against them and started investigation.
Murree’s pleasant weather attracts thousands tourists to celebrate Independence Day
RAWALPINDI, Aug 15 (APP):On the occasion of Independence Day, a large number of tourists visited Malka-e-Kohsar Murree in a stunning and pleasant weather.
The entrance of more than 25000 vehicles was recorded in Murree on 14th August, giving the city a festive environment.
According to the details, the City Traffic Officer (CTO), Beenish Fatima has lauded the officers and officials for performing their duties round the clock.
She also made her presence in Murree and directly reviewed the traffic arrangements so that the tourists traveling to and from Murree on the occasion of Independence Day should not face any kind of difficulties.
The CTO said that the traffic police managed the traffic despite the paucity of parking under the limited resources.
“They ensured the uninterrupted flow of traffic and performed their duties in the best way while helping the tourists”, she said while appreciating the traffic personnel services.
The tourists also appreciated the traffic management.
Gold rates dip by Rs.300 to Rs257,400 per tola
ISLAMABAD, Aug 15 (APP): The per tola price of 24 karat gold witnessed a decrease of Rs.300 on Thursday and was traded at Rs 257,400 against it sale at 257,700 on the last trading day in the local market.
The price of 10 grams of 24 karat also decreased by Rs256 to Rs.220,680 from Rs.220,936, whereas that of 10 gram 22 karat decreased to Rs202,290 from Rs202,525, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The price of per tola and ten gram silver remained unchanged at Rs.2,850 and Rs.2,443.41 respectively.
Prices of gold in the international market decreased by $4 to $2,454 as compared to the previous day rates of $2,458, the Association reported.
