Shafqat Shah extends greetings of Eid ul Azha

SUKKUR, Jun 07 (APP): Senior Politician, Syed Shafqat Ali Shah greeted the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the blessed occasion of Eidul Azha, highlighting the spirit of sacrifice and charity associated with the auspicious occasion.
In his Eid message on Saturday, Syed Shafqat Ali Shah prayed to Almighty to grant His blessings and happiness to the Muslim world and Pakistan. The Eid commemorated the willingness of prophets Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and his son Hazrat Ismail (AS) to sacrifice bow to Allah’s command to sacrifice their dearest possessions.
He said that Almighty Allah put these great personalities through trials and both of them bowed their heads to the will of Allah, adding that this act of sacrifice became so popular in the presence of Almighty Allah that He made this worship of sacrifice obligatory on the Muslim Ummah.
“It is a lesson for us that the key to success is to remain firm in the situation of trials and tests and to obey Allah Almighty,” he said.
He urged to reaffirm their commitment to the values of brotherhood, sacrifice, and selflessness on this occasion.
He encouraged everyone to share the joy of Eid with those around them, especially those who were unable to celebrate due to financial constraints.
“I prayed to Allah Almighty to shower His blessings and mercy upon the entire Muslim Ummah, particularly Pakistan.”

PM exchanges Eid greetings with Kuwait’s crown prince

LAHORE, Jun 07 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif exchanged Eid-ul-Azha greetings with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, crown prince of the State of Kuwait, on Saturday.
During their warm and cordial telephone call, the PM conveyed warm felicitations to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, emir of the State of Kuwait, as well as to the brotherly people of Kuwait. The two leaders prayed for peace and prosperity of the Ummah.
The prime minister thanked the crown prince for Kuwait’s strong and balanced position in support of peace and dialogue during the recent crisis between Pakistan and India. He stated that Pakistan had always desired peace in the region.
Recalling their discussion during a telephone call on Eid-ul-Fitr, the prime minister renewed his most cordial invitation to the crown prince to undertake an official visit to Pakistan, which was very graciously accepted.
The PM stressed the need to further enhance bilateral economic, investment and trade cooperation. He particularly thanked Kuwait for easing the visa facilitation for Pakistan nationals, that would help enhance people-to-people exchanges as well as import of skilled manpower to Kuwait.
Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah warmly reciprocated the prime minister’s Eid greetings and conveyed best wishes for the people of Pakistan. He appreciated the positive contribution of the Pakistani community in Kuwait and said that the two sides would continue their efforts to further strengthen bilateral ties.

PM Shehbaz, Egyptian President El Sisi exchange Eid greetings

LAHORE, Jun 07 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt on Saturday to exchange warm Eid-ul-Azha greetings and discuss matters of mutual interest.
The prime minister extended heartfelt Eid wishes to the Egyptian leadership, government, and people, and expressed deep appreciation for Egypt’s constructive role in promoting peace, particularly during the recent Pakistan-India crisis. The leaders also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East.
Reflecting on his visit to Cairo in December last year for the D-8 Summit, PM Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to deepening its friendly ties with Egypt. He highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including trade, investment, and healthcare.
President El Sisi warmly reciprocated the Eid greetings and conveyed his best wishes to the people of Pakistan. He expressed Egypt’s keen interest in strengthening its relationship with Pakistan and lauded Islamabad’s efforts to maintain peace and stability in South Asia.
Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact and continue working together to enhance bilateral relations and contribute to regional peace.

Eidul Azha celebrated with religious enthusiasm in KP

PESHAWAR, Jun 07 (APP): Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated by people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) including merged tribal areas on Saturday with religious fervour and enthusiasm.
The day dawned with special prayers in mosques and Eidgahs for the well-being of the Muslim Ummah and the progress, prosperity and security of the country.
Eid congregations held in all major cities and towns of KP where people sought forgiveness and mercy.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi offered Eid prayer at Awan e Saddar Islamabad, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur at DI Khan and Federal Minister Engr Amir Muqam at Shangla.
Like other cities of the country, small and large Eid prayer gatherings also held in Peshawar.
The main Eid congregation held at the Eidgah on Charsadda Road where ulema and religious scholars highlighted philosophy of sacrfice in way of Allah Almighty.
Big congregations were held at Mahabat Khan, Qasim Ali Khan, Gunj Ali Khan, Delawer Khan, Dawash Masjid, Qasim Ali Khan, Sunehri Masjid, Kalabari Masjid, Spin Jumaat Masjid Town, Zagona Masjid Hayatabad Peshawar where special prayers offered for the country and the nation”s prosperity.
The Ulema in their sermons highlighted the significance and philosophy of Eidul Azha and offered a special Dua for the eternal peace of the people who have martyred in the line of duty by protecting the motherland.
Maulana Tayab Qureshi,.Chief Khateeb KP in his sermon said Eid-ul-Azha is a great day of eternal sacrifice for the religion of islam and pleasing of Allah.
He said people must remember the poor and deserving people in their happiness on this holy Eid.
The spirit of sacrifice teaches one to be ready for any service required for the good of humanity and willingness of Allah Almighty.
He said the people have to devote lives to the service of Islam and humanity.
Maulana Tayab said people should take special care of cleanliness after paying Sunnat Ibrahimi and cooperate fully with the sanitation staff.

Governor Sindh extends Eid-ul-Azha greetings from Saudi Arabia

Eid-ul-Adha being celebrated in Karachi with religious fervor

KARACHI, Jun 07 (APP): Like the rest of the country, Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated across Karachi with great religious zeal and devotion.
After offering Eid prayers, citizens are sacrificing animals in commemoration of the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
The day began with special prayers at mosques for the well-being of the Muslim Ummah and the peace, progress, and prosperity of the country.
During the Eid congregations, religious scholars highlighted the significance and philosophy behind the great sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son Prophet Ismail (AS).
