KP Govt focusing on staging sit-ins instead of public welfare: Attaullah Tarar

0

NOWSHERA, Nov 28 (APP): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government was focusing on staging sit-ins instead of the welfare of the people and demands were being made in violation of the jail manual.

He said that negative propaganda against Pakistan was being spread from Indian and Afghan soil.

Speaking to the media in Nowshera after offering condolences on the death of the mother of Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information and KP Affairs Ikhtiar Wali here Friday, the federal minister said that he had come to condole over the demise of Ikhtiar Wali’s mother.

He said Ikhtiar Wali Khan supported the party in difficult times. The minister added that Ikhtiar Wali Khan had always practiced principled politics and was a strong voice from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The information minister said that the KP government was focusing on sit-ins rather than the welfare of the public. “If they continue these sit-ins, who will pay attention to the province?” he asked.

He said that instead of governance and building new roads, the KP government had focused on protests.

He said the KP government should pay attention to law and order and eliminating terrorism. The minister said that the KP government was making illegal demands and pressing for things that violate the jail manual. “Do the jail rules allow repeated meetings?” he questioned.

He said they should focus on public welfare and development and progress of the province, not TikTok.

He added that the founder of PTI was convicted in a mega corruption case. “The founder of PTI has been convicted in the £190 million corruption case. He is not a political prisoner but a convicted criminal in a corruption case,” he said, adding that attempts were made to use religion in politics by invoking the name of the state of Madinah.

The federal information minister said, no political prisoner has ever been given as many privileges as the PTI founder currently has.

He added that negative propaganda against Pakistan was being carried out from Indian and Afghan soil and social media tactics were being used to secure meetings with the PTI founder.

He said that “Buzdar plus plus” has been installed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that PTI’s social media account holders were now seeking support from Indian social media handlers, adding, “We are ready to sacrifice our lives for Pakistan. A conspiracy is being hatched to spread chaos in the country. Lying, posting misleading images, and later apologizing has become their routine. The narrative of lies will be defeated.”

Attaullah Tarar said that Pakistani social media played an important role during the war with India.

He added that the PTI founder was being provided with all exercise equipment and the best food. “If the PTI government continues to function this way, one day the people will hold them accountable by the collar,” he warned.
