US expresses condolences to Lahore blast victims
WASHNGTON, March 28 (APP): The United States have expressed its deepest condolences to the families of those killed in Lahore bomb blast on Sunday and said it would continue to work with Pakistan to combat terrorism. Condemning the appalling terrorist attack in the strongest term, a statement from the US State department said that US stands with the people and Government of Pakistan at this difficult hour. “We send our deepest condolences to the loved ones of those killed and injured, and our thoughts, prayers are with the people of Lahore as they respond to and recover from this terrible tragedy,” the statement said.
UN slams 'appalling' terrorist bombing in Lahore, expresses solidarity
UNITED NATIONS, March 28 (APP): Top United Nations officials have strongly condemned Sunday’s terrorist bombing at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore, extending condolences to the victims and their families while expressing solidarity with the people and Government of Pakistan. A statement issued by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s spokesperson calls for the perpetrators of this “appalling” terrorist act to be brought swiftly to justice, consistent with human rights obligations. The UN chief underlined the need “to do utmost in putting in place protective measures to ensure the personal security of all individuals, including religious minority communities living in the country.”
Terrorists not let to be resurfaced; play with people’s lives: PM

PM cancels US visit
ISLAMABAD, Mar 28 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Monday decided to cancel his visit to Washington, United States where he was to attend the Nuclear Security Summit. The decision was taken in view of the terrorist attack in Lahore which took a heavy toll on the lives of innocent citizens and caused injuries to scores of others, said a Foreign Office press release. Pakistan’s delegation to the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in Washington would now be led by Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
Resolve to fight terrorism gets stronger: PM
LAHORE, March 28 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Monday said that the resolve of the government and nation to fight terrorism was getting stronger. “Our goal is not only to eliminate terror infrastructure but also the extremist mind-set, which is a threat to our way of life,” the Prime Minister said while chairing a meeting here to review Lahore terror attack and the overall strategy against terrorists. Twin cities’ administrations admonished over poor arrangements
ISLAMABAD, Mar 28 (APP): Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Monday admonished the administrations of the twin cities for poor security arrangements that caused damage to public and private property. Presiding over a joint meeting of Islamabad and Rawalpindi administrations and police, the minister strongly condemned violence and damage to the property by protestors Sunday night. He said it was the responsibility of the government and the administration to protect property and lives of the citizens. Violation of the law of land was unacceptable, he added. Turkish President calls PM, condoles loss of lives in Lahore terror attack
ISLAMABAD, March 28 (APP): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday called Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and conveyed his deepest condolences on the loss of lives in Lahore terror attack. The Prime Minister told the Turkish President that the terrorists were on the run and therefore, they were now targeting soft targets like children and women. He said terrorism had become a serious global challenge, “I know that your country is also faced with this menace,” he added.
