ISLAMABAD, Apr 10 (APP): Spokesman to the Prime Minister Dr. Musadik Malik Sunday said that there was nothing new in Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chief Imran Khan’s address as people had been tired of listening to these repeated statements.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said Imran Khan was demanding formation of a commission under supervision of the Chief Justice of Supreme Court but on the other hand, he did not accept its verdicts.
He said that the Prime Minister and his children had already presented for accountability in front of inquiry commission.

550 army engineers working for restoration of KKH
RAWALPINDI April 10 (APP): In line to repair and reconstruct Karakorum Highway (KKH) at four points about 550 army engineering troops have been making all out efforts to restore the communication links through the main artery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations here on Sunday, some 70 plants have been engaged for carrying out reconstruction of KKH at different locations including Khial, Dassu, Nomad and Attabad while the inclement weather conditions have been posing hurdles on earlier accomplishment of the repair tasks.
Meanwhile, 700 km roads have been restored including Gilgit-Skardu road. Main roads in Malakand and Chitral are opened for the vehicular traffic while work on Shangla, Buner and Bahrain, Kalam links is in progress.
PTI's stubbornness weakened democracy: Saad

Pakistan Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Sunday
PTI’s stubbornness and lust for power had just
weakened the democracy.
Commenting on Imran Khan’s speech, he said,
opposition should choose the parliament and courts
for acceptance of their demands instead of creating chaos
through sit-ins and protests.
“Such negative tactics will only create hurdles in the
way of progress and development of the country,” he added.
Cultural Caravan visits Takht-e-Babar, Katas Raj Temple
KALAR KAHAR, Apr 10 (APP): A cultural caravan led by Chairman Archeological and Historical Association of Pakistan Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi Sunday visited Takh-e-Babar and Katas Raj Temple, Chakwal.
Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale, Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Lakomov and Acting Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Mehvish Sultana, member of Punjab Assembly, Vice Chairman Archeological and Historical Association Prof. Dr. Akbar S. Ahmad (U.S.A), a number of diplomates, families, writers and people from different walks of life from Islamabad were part of the Cultural Caravan.

PM directs for safety of citizens after quake
ISLAMABAD, Apr 10 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has directed all the federal, civil, military and provincial rescue and relief agencies to declare immediate alert and mobilise all resources to ensure safety of citizens in the wake of earthquake on Sunday.
“All agencies have been directed to move out with their
resources to find out the affected people and ensure immediate rescue activities and assistance wherever required,” a press release of the PM Office media wing said.
The Prime Minister further directed the relevant quarters
to keep him updated on the developing situation.
Constitution Day celebrated at Lok Virsa
ISLAMABAD, Apr 10 (APP): In consultation with Provincial
Representatives, Lok Virsa management celebrated “Constitution Day” on Sunday at the ongoing Folk Festival of Pakistan “Lok Mela” here at Shakarparian.
The entire day programs focused on creating national harmony
and integration between provinces, said a press release issued here.
The folk singers and folk dance groups of one province performed at the pavilion of other provinces to show a sign of solidarity and unity.
This also provided an opportunity for them to exchange their
expertise and experiences with their counterparts from other
provinces in a meaningful way.
Lok Mela concludes at Shakarparian

known as Lok Mela, which started on April 1 successfully concluded here at Shakarparian with a prestigious and colourful award ceremony.

PTI chief promoting politics of agitation: Siddiqui
ISLAMABAD, Apr 10 (APP): Prime Minister’s Advisor on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui Sunday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan is promoting the politics of agitation on the basis of mere accusations.
He was of the view that Imran has not yet adopted a constructive approach adding that he should first accept the verdict of previous judicial commission, comprising judges of the Supreme Court, before demanding for the same second time.

Asif stresses accountability regarding investments in offshore companies
ISLAMABAD, Apr 10 (APP): Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that there should be indiscriminate accountability regarding investments in offshore companies.
In a statement, he said Imran Khan should also present detail of his offshore investment, Radio Pakistan reported on Sunday.
The Minister said investigations should be carried out to know how much amount of people’s donations to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital was invested in offshore companies.
CM launches "Amanat Scheme" for promoting tax culture
LAHORE, April 10 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad
Shehbaz Sharif has formally launched unique and first of its
kind in Pakistan “Amanat Scheme” for promoting tax culture in the province.
In this regard, first balloting of “Amanat Scheme” was held under Restaurant Invoice Monitoring System (RIMS) arranged by Punjab Revenue Authority at Chief Minister Office, on Sunday.
Addressing the function held in connection with first balloting of “Amanat Scheme”, the chief minister said the government has introduced a unique “Amanat Scheme” to promote tax culture. He said lunching of this scheme on Tax Day is a beautiful step which will result in the promotion of tax culture in the province as maintenance of law and order, provision of basic amenities to the citizens and tax collection is the responsibility of the state.
