ISLAMABAD, Jan 21 (APP): Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif Thursday made separate telephone calls to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and Commander Resolute Special Mission in Afghanistan General John Campbell and shared details about the culprits involved behind the Bacha Khan University massacre.

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (APP): Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi on Wednesday strongly condemned the attack on Baacha Khan University, Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

ZURICH Jan. 20 (APP)-  Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is deeply grieved over the sad incident of terrorists’ attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsada, which has reportedly resulted into the loss of precious human lives and injured many others. Issuing necessary directions to the law enforcement agencies for the earliest elimination of the terrorists, the Prime Minister is personally monitoring the situation and he is continuously informed on the measures taken to combat the terrorists.

PESHAWAR, Jan 20 (APP): Unidentified assailants stormed Baacha Khan University and started indiscriminate firing, injuring four persons here Wednesday morning.Unidentified attackers barged into the university from backside taking advantage of the foggy conditions and started firing. Initial reports said that four persons were injured in the incident including two security guards. The injured were shifted to nearby District Headquarters Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

ISLAMABAD, Jan. 20 (APP): Ambassador of Tajikistan Sherali S. Jononov Wednesday Strongly condemned the terror attack in Charsada University where more than twenty innocent people including Professor and female students were targeted and martyred. In a statement issued by the embassy of Tajikistan, the Ambassador expressed his condolence with families of deceased and termed the attack blatent and against humanity.

KARACHI, Jan 20 (APP): Advisor to the Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui on Wednesday said the federal government had developed a comprehensive scheme to familiarize local youth with the aspirations and philosophy of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other founding leaders of the country. Talking to media here at the Quaid’s mausoleum, he said there was dire need to follow the cardinal principles of Quaid-e-Azam.

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (APP): Condemning the attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Marvi Memon Wednesday hoped that 2016 year would be the final year of terrorism as the menace would be eradicated form the country in current year. Talking to a private channel, Marvi said that federal and provincial governments were on the same page against war on terror and they were implementing the National Action Plan (NAP) in letter and spirit to wipe out terrorists.

PESHAWAR, January 20 (APP): Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Wednesday expressed the resolve that the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists would continue till its logical end. This he said while talking to media persons at the Bacha Khan University premises, during his visit to the University in Charsadda along with Federal Minister for SAFRON, Abdur Qadir Baloch, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Engr. Baligh-ur-Rehman.
