ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (APP): Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said Pakistan would continue its efforts to combat menace of terrorism. Talking to Voice of America (VOA), he said that Pakistan has defeated terrorism and during the last year terrorist attacks have declined significantly. He said military action Zarb-e-Azb has succeeded to fight unrest and terrorism in the region.

ZURICH Jan. 20 (APP)-  Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is deeply grieved over the sad incident of terrorists’ attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsada, which has reportedly resulted into the loss of precious human lives and injured many others. Issuing necessary directions to the law enforcement agencies for the earliest elimination of the terrorists, the Prime Minister is personally monitoring the situation and he is continuously informed on the measures taken to combat the terrorists.

Four persons injured in Baacha Khan University attack

PESHAWAR, Jan 20 (APP): Unidentified assailants stormed Baacha Khan University and started indiscriminate firing, injuring four persons here Wednesday morning.Unidentified attackers barged into the university from backside taking advantage of the foggy conditions and started firing. Initial reports said that four persons were injured in the incident including two security guards. The injured were shifted to nearby District Headquarters Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

4 terrorists killed in Charsada university operation: ISPR

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (APP): The highly skilled contingent of Pakistan Army deployed around the Bacha Khan University Charsadda have successfully targetted four of the terrorists occupying two blocks of the campus, ISPR news report said here Wednesday.”Two terrorists who were friring from inside the university block have been shot at and killed while two other were targetted at roof top of the building and killed. All buildings and roof tops have been taken over by Army troops while operation is still continuing”, news report added.

ISLAMABAD, Jan 20 (APP): Condemning the attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Marvi Memon Wednesday hoped that 2016 year would be the final year of terrorism as the menace would be eradicated form the country in current year. Talking to a private channel, Marvi said that federal and provincial governments were on the same page against war on terror and they were implementing the National Action Plan (NAP) in letter and spirit to wipe out terrorists.
