SIALKOT, Apr 2 (APP): A 11-member delegation of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel will visit Pakistan to attend Texpo Fair which is scheduled to be held from  April 7 to 10. In an interview with APP, Chief Coordinator Pakistan Readymade  Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) Ijaz A. Khokhar disclosed this here on Saturday. He said the PRGMEA would arrange factory visits for the Chinese delegation and B2B meetings with its members, adding the visit of delegation was the result of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Saira urges parents to enrol children in schools

ISLAMABAD, April 2 (APP): Minister of State for Health Saira Afzal Tarar has urged parents to get their children enrolled in schools to help them become real assets of the country.  She said  the present government was giving top priority to education, which was reflected from the increased budget for higher education, Radio Pakistan reported on Saturday. The minister said that every child had to be educated to  make Pakistan sovereign and developed in real terms.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 2 (APP): Pakistan’s Ambassador to France Ghalib Iqbal has said that the country acted with resolve after terrorists’ attack in Peshawar and since then, the military operation against terrorists had been moving forward smoothly. It would be helpful not only to Pakistan but also to the entire region, he said during an interview in a programme, aired by France-24 in the wake of Lahore attack. During the hour-long debate, Ghalib said that the lives lost in terror attack in Lahore, were Pakistan’s loss and they felt sad about this.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 2 (APP): Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit- Baltistan Chaudhry Barjees Tahir has said that linking far-flung areas of the country through highways and motorways was vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said the road infrastructure furthers economic development and creates national harmony by linking various parts of the country with one another, Radio Pakistan reported on Saturday. The minister said Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan were  being given priority in road infrastructure.

Trails-3 attracts visitors of twins cities for its unique flora

ISLAMABAD, April 2 (APP): Trail-3 of Margallah Hills National Park has been the main attraction for large number of visitors from twins cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad due to its unique plants along the route as comapred to other Trails of the parks. With the advent of spring season, especilly March and April,  it is the time to enjoy Kachnar buds as vegetables as these would become beautiful white flowers at a later stage. Eventually,  it adds to natural beauty of the track. Hiking and towering the trail, vistors were seen busy in  plucking Kachnar buds of sizeable quanity as cooking stuff. A group of children, hailing from nearest villages were also seen collecting Kachnar buds for their families, besides  selling these at Rs 80 per Kg in different markets of federal  capital.

ISLAMABAD, April 1 (APP): Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Friday said the people of Pakistan were a civilized nation, who believed in peaceful co-existence. Addressing the opening ceremony of 10-day ‘Lok Mela’ here at the Lok Virsa Complex, he said some elements were trying for the last 16 years to project Pakistan as a disturbed state. “But, we have proven that Pakistan is a country whose people are civilized, want peaceful co-existence and share happy moments with each other,” he said.

ISLAMABAD, April 1 (APP): Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar  Ali Khan Friday said Pakistan and Iran were tied in decades  long religious, social, cultural and political bonds and that  nothing could come in the way of brotherly Pak-Iran relations. He was talking to Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan  Mehdi Honardoost, who called on him here at the Punjab House.    Matters relating to Pak-Iran bilateral relations,  Iranian President’s recent visit to Pakistan and the assistance  sought from the Government of Iran regarding arrest of a RAW agent from Balochistan were discussed, said a press release. The two sides expressed satisfaction over the recent visit of  President Hassan Rouhani to Pakistan.
