ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): Muhmmad Shabir sealed victory in the
professional category of the President of Pakistan Gold Medal Golf
Tournament played here at Islamabad Golf Club.
Shabbir ended the three-day game with a score of 13 under 203.
Muhammad Munir ended up stood at a score of 11 under 205.
In the amateur net category, Shahid Gulraiz scooped up the gold
medal in the amateur net category with a score of 180 over 45 holes. Due to
rain the first day’s amateur category proceedings were restricted to just nine holes.
In the ladies net category, Rimsha Ejaz bagged the top spot with a
score of 143 followed by Saima Ejaz (147) 2nd and Zeenat Ayesha (148) 3rd.
Imdad Hussain won the senior professional event with a score of 151.
Mohammad Iqbal (152) and Shaukat Ali (152) stood 2nd and 3rd.
Junior professional category was triumphed by Adnan with a score of 165.
Mohammad Zubair (167) and Syed Bilal (168) finished second and third.
The senior amateur net title was won by Malik Muhammad Afsar (34)
followed by Jamil Ahmad (35) and Brig Mohsin (35) who finished second and
third.
In the amateur competition, Major Najam was victorious with a score of
cared 33. M K Durrani (35 net) finished second.
Meanwhile the sports journalists also played a putting competition in
which Adnan Maqsood was the victor while Abdul Mohi Shah was the
runner-up and Mohsin Ali stood 3rd.
