New exhibition, trading center completed at Gwadar Free Zone
BEIJING, Jul 23 (APP): The South China Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center in Gwadar Free Zone, Gwadar, Balochistan was successfully completed on July 21.
The project covers an area of about 2,000 square metres.
The centre consists of an exhibition hall, business area, meeting rooms, sports area, office, dormitory, etc.
It will exhibit Pakistani and Chinese commodities to visitors from home and abroad, noted CCCC-FHDI Engineering CO, LTD, the project constructor.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
As per the project constructor, the new centre as a comprehensive exhibition and sales centre as well as a window for international exchanges in Gwadar in the future – will boost the development of manufacturing, trade and logistics and other industries in Gwadar, further promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and further promote the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in Gwadar, China Economic Net (CEN) reported on Sunday.
“Completed ahead of schedule, the project will become a centre for exhibition and sales, trade and logistics in Gwadar.
All the hard work and toil in the process will be worth it,” CCCC-FHDI Engineering CO, LTD, said.

CM reviews law, order situation, directs for necessary security measures in Muharram
KARACHI, Jul 23 (APP): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Sunday chaired an important meeting to review law and order situation in the province.
The meeting was attended by Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Advisor to CM on Law and Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Chief Secretary Sindh Dr. Mohammed Sohail Rajput, IGP Sind Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IGPs and through video link DIGs, and SSPs.
The CM issued necessary directives to maintain law and order situation in all districts of the province. He also directed for necessary security measures during the month of Muharram ul Harram.
AJK PM urges world to address Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir
MIRPUR (AJK), Jul 23 (APP): Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq expressed deep concerns on Sunday over the alarming political and human rights conditions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Calling for immediate attention, the AJK Premier implored global leaders to take effective cognizance of the rampant state-sponsored terrorism by Indian forces in the region.
Prime Minister Haq condemned the ongoing bloodshed and violence that continued to plague the restive territory.
He highlighted the grave atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces, including what he termed as “genocide” and “ethnic cleansing” of Kashmiri civilians.
Drawing attention to the urgency of the situation, the prime minister called upon the United Nations and other international organizations to intervene and put an end to the ruthless killing of innocent Kashmiris.
He accused India of implementing an apartheid regime and breaking records of barbarism and brutality in the occupied territory.
Citing the revocation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s special status on August 5, 2019, the AJK PM raised concerns about India’s attempts to alter the region’s demography through the issuance of fake domiciles to ex-servicemen and non-state residents.
He asserted that this move violated the UN Security Council resolutions and international laws, with the intent of converting the Muslim majority into a minority.
Praising the unwavering determination and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, Prime Minister Haq lauded their relentless struggle for the noble cause of freedom.
Despite facing India’s state terrorism, he emphasized that the Kashmiri people would continue their fight until they achieve the cherished goal of self-determination.
