Kashmir Solidarity Day draws worldwide support

ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP): People across the globe on Sunday expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their legitimate struggle for the right of self-determination in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions and the wishes of Kashmiri people.

Embassies and missions of Pakistan organized seminars and events to highlight the longest lingering and unresolved issue on the agenda of the United Nations. Moreover, different nationalities and expatriates also took out rallies and held protest processions in different countries.

Kashmir Solidarity Day—–TokyoAn event was organized on 3rd February 2023 by the Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Pakistani community members and Kashmiris as well as Japanese people attended the event. Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference joined the event virtually.

The Ambassador-designate, highlighted the continuous atrocities being committed by Indian occupation forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He expressed Pakistan’s full support for the Kashmir cause.

KABUL, Afghanistan

The Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul organized an event to mark “Kashmir Solidarity Day” to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren and to pay tribute to the sacrifices made by the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their right to self-determination against Indian brutal forces.

In his remarks, Charge d’Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Wazir stated that the Indian forces illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on 27th October, 1947 in connivance with Dogra Raj against the will of the Kashmiris 75 years ago. He further said that the people of the valley were looking at the international community for justice and fulfillment of its promise of holding a plebiscite according to UN Security Council resolutions.

Pakistan High Commission Canada along with the Pakistan Consulates in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal arranged a series of events comprising pictorial exhibitions, demonstrations, and roadshows to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The main event was held at the Pakistan High Commission in Ottawa where High Commissioner Zaheer Janjua addressed a gathering of Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora on the significance of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

He pointed out that the Jammu and Kashmir was one of the oldest, internationally recognized disputes on the agenda of the UN Security Council. He said there were 11 UN resolutions on this issue, but India had consistently blocked all efforts for holding a free, fair and impartial plebiscite in IIOJK as enshrined in the UN resolutions.

The High Commissioner also highlighted the woes and suffering of the Kashmiris following the illegal and unilateral Indian actions of 5th August 2019. He said that India’s ruling BJP was implementing the Hindutva agenda of RSS in Kashmir by assaulting the Kashmiri culture and identity.

Modi’s effigy burnt to show solidarity with oppressed Kashmiris

KARACHI, Feb 05 (APP): Pakistan People’s Party Azad Kashmir Sindh Zone on Sunday burnt an effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to express solidarity with Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) brothers and sisters, outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC).

The participants chanted slogans against Indian oppression in the IIOJK.

The protesting men and women participants in the beginning threw the effigy of Modi and then set it alight.

People of Balochistan always with Kashmiri brothers

QUETTA, Feb 5 (APP): Central Leader of Balochistan Awami Party, Mir Ramen Mohammad Hasni said that the people of Balochistan have always stood with Kashmiri brothers against the unabated Indian state barbarism from day one.

He said that Pakistan has always supported the legitimate position of its Kashmiri brethren in every forum and was also highlighting the atrocities committed against them at the international level.

Ramen prayed to Allah Almighty to grant success and prosperity to all Kashmir brothers in their struggle for independence and paid rich tribute to Kashmiris martyrs.

In a message on Kashmir Day, he said all kinds of atrocities are being inflicted on Kashmiri people to stop their struggle for freedom by India, but in spite of this, they are fighting for their rights and freedom with great patience and perseverance.

He said India’s racist extremist ideology of Hindutva, ongoing genocide of Kashmiri people and forceful annexation of Kashmir put regional and world peace at stake.

“Kashmiri brothers have been fighting for their right to self-determination against Indian occupational forces for a long time.
The BAP leader regretted that the silence and indifference of the major powers to India’s atrocities and blatant human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir was a tragedy of history.

He demanded the people of Occupied Kashmir should be given the right to self-determination so that they can decide their own destiny, he said.

The BAP leader termed the Kashmir resistance movement as a legitimate one and reiterated that people of Balochistan stood united for the just cause of people of Kashmir.

India’s occupation of Kashmir South Asia’s biggest conflict pending for 74 years: Sherry Rehman

ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP): Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Sherry Rehman in her message on Kashmir Solidarity Day said Indian occupation of Kashmir was South Asia’s biggest conflict that was pending for 74 years.

In her message here, the federal minister said the United Nations and the world must respect the freedom, human rights and just right to self-determination of Kashmiris.

She said former prime minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had announced to celebrate Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5.

Senator Sherry Rehman said the purpose of celebrating this day was to express solidarity with the Kashmiris, to condemn Indian state terrorism in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, to raise voice for the right of self-determination of Kashmiris and to highlight the issue of Kashmir to the whole world.

“I want to convey a message to Kashmiris all over the world, including Occupied Kashmir, that the government of Pakistan and every citizen are standing besides their Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle for freedom,” Sherry Rehman added.

By abrogating Article 35A and 370 of its Constitution on August 5, 2019, the Modi government considered Kashmir to have become India’s part, she noted.

“India and the world should not forget that the future of Kashmir and Kashmiris will not be decided by amending the Indian Constitution but according to the wishes of Kashmiris and the resolutions of the United Nations,” Sherry Rahman maintained.

The world’s criminal silence on Modi government’s state repression in Kashmir was regrettable, she said, adding, “We demand the world to take strict notice of Indian state oppression and terrorism in Occupied Kashmir for 74 years.”

KP Governor pays tribute to Kashmiri people

PESHAWAR, Feb 05 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali on Sunday said that the silence by the international community and the UN on the grim situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has emboldened India to continue with its atrocities on the Kashmiris.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ at CM House here, Haji Ghulam Ali said that the international community should play a serious role in a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue and stop Indian atrocities in IIOJK.

He paid tribute to Kashmiri people who rendered matchless sacrifices during the fight against their right to self-determination and marked it a great symbol of bravery. We will continue our diplomatic and moral support to our Kashmiri brethren in achieving their goal of freedom, he added.

Chief Minister KP Muhammad Azam Khan, caretaker provincial ministers, government officers, leaders of Hurriyat Conference, political and social figures, and students participated in the ceremony.

Due to section 144 by the district administration in order to maintain law and order in Peshawar, a ceremony was held inside the CM house.

D.I.KHAN, Feb 05 (APP): Like other parts of the country, Kashmir Solidarity Day was also observed in southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a befitting manner to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren on Sunday.

In this regard, different events were organized and rallies were also taken out from different areas to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir.

A grand ceremony was organized in Govt Higher Secondary School (GHSS) No: 4 wherein Caretaker Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Live Stock Haleem Qasuria participated as Chief Guest. Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Tariq Mehmood, Assistant Commissioner Faseeh Abbasi, District Education Officer, District Health Officer Mehmood Jan and a number of people hailing from civil society, lawyers’ community, media persons and others participated in the event.

Addressing the event, the provincial minister said the Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed to remind International Community of its obligations to resolve Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people and resolutions of United Nations.

He said that the self-determination was the basic right of the Kashmiri people. He also emphasized for unity among all ranks to defeat the internal enemies of the country.

The students of GHSS No: 4 fully participated in the event by singing national anthem, Kashmir Song and delivering speeches.

Later, a rally was also taken out from GHSS No: 4 which culminated at Laghari Gate of the city.

The district administration organized a walk, led by Assistant Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, which started from GPO Chowk and culminated at Topanwala Chowk.

The walk was attended by officials of the different departments including Finance Department, TMA, WSSC, Education Department and others besides local dignitaries, businessmen and a large number of local people.

During the walk, the participants chanted slogans in favor of Kashmiri people and against the illegal Indian occupation of Kashmir. They were also carrying several banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favour of Kashmiri People.

While addressing the participants, the assistant commissioner said that our full support is with the Kashmiri brethren where over 0.7 million Indian army has illegally occupied the territory and committing various atrocities on the Kashmiris.

He said the agenda of the partition of the Sub-Continent was incomplete without the freedom of Kashmir.

He said the international community must focus on this important issue and take steps for its early resolution by implementing the resolutions passed by the United Nations.

At the end, the participants of the walk expressed their solidarity with the Kashmiris by making a chain of human hands and prayed collectively for the freedom of the Kashmiris.

In Paharpur Tehsil, different programmes were organized in public schools wherein students gave speeches on the topics related to Kashmir issue and also presented tableau reflecting Indian atrocities in IIOJK.

A rally was also taken out from TMA office Paharpur under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Aneeq Anwar to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren. The rally, which was attended by representatives of all departments, social workers, business community and a number of local people, was culminated at was culminated at Adda-Paharpur.

Another event was organized in Govt High School Darazinda which was attended by Additional Assistant Commissioner Darazinda Umar Mukhtar. The AAC shed a light on the importance of freedom of Kashmir and ongoing atrocities of Indian forces against helpless Kashmiri people. Later, the AAC also led a walk to express solidarity with oppressed people of Kashmir.

Assistant Commissioner Paroa also organized an event in Tehsil Paroa in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day which was attended by a number of people hailing from different segments of society.

The Kashmir Solidarity Day was also observed in Tank where the main event was organized in Deputy Commissioner Office and a rally was also taken out from the DC office. The main event in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day was held in Deputy Commissioner Office which was attended by Deputy Commissioner Hameed Ullah Khattak, Assitant Commissioner, officers and officials of different departments including police, FC and others.

Besides, various programmes were organized in different educational institutions wherein the students delivered speeches on Kashmir issue. A rally was also taken out from the DC Office under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Tank Hameed Ullah Khattak regarding Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The participants of the rally chanted slogans in favour of the Independence of Kashmir and against the illegal occupation of Kashmir by Indian forces.

They were also holding banners and placards inscribed with different slogans including “Kashmir Baney Ga Pakistan”, “Kashmir Is Burning” and “Kashmir needs world’s attention”. The special prayers were offered during all rallies and events for the integrity of the homeland and the freedom of Kashmir besides for the martyrs of the Peshawar police line tragedy.

NCHD holds events to express solidarity with Kashmiris

ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP): National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training on Sunday observed Kashmir Solidarity Day across the country to express solidarity with the people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their just struggle for freedom and for their right of self-determination.

This was done in line with the decision taken by the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Rana Tanveer Hussain in a consultative meeting, held on Friday at the Ministry.

Director General NCHD Syed Junaid Akhlaq personally supervised all the planning to organize seminars, debates, quiz competitions, essay competitions and solidarity walks etc. in Community Feeder Schools, Adult Literacy Centers and Madras Schools being run under NCHD all across Pakistan with the purpose to highlight the struggle of Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination as per UN resolutions.

These events were in collaboration with the District authorities and Civil Society Organizations.

Director General NCHD Syed Junaid Akhlaq participated in an event organized by NCHD at Dhok Chodhrian- Village Pinhot UC Chira, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). On this occasion, students made speeches to highlight the issue of Kashmir followed by a quiz competition.

The function was also attended by a large number of community people.

Director General said that Pakistani government and people stand firmly in solidarity with Kashmiri people for their struggle for freedom and right to self-determination as per UN resolutions.

A solidarity and awareness raising walk was also arranged on this occasion which was attended by a large number of community people, students and Learners of Adult Literacy Centers, holding placards.

The Director General said that we would continue to ensure that Kashmiri people voices are heard and their rights are respected.

NCHD organized such event all across the country on 4th and 5th February 2023 to raise awareness to entire world that Kashmiri people have been facing the brutality of India and Indian forces for last 77 years or so and world must be cognizant of this and play its role for giving Kashmiri people their fundamental right of self-determination.

Kundi urges global community to take notice of human rights violations in IIOJK

ISLAMABAD, Feb 5 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Poverty Alleviation and Scoial Safety, Faisal Karim Kundi Sunday urged the global community to take notice of the human rights violations in the Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

In his tweet in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day, the SAPM said “On this Kashmir Solidarity Day, we stand with people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and strongly condemn the fascism by Indian forces”.

“We pay homage to the martyrs of Kashmir. The global community should take note of human rights violations as always highlighted by Pakistan People’s Party leadership”, he said.

Kashmir Solidarity Day was being observed across the country to express its unwavering political, moral and diplomatic support to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their right of self-determination, as enshrined in the UN Charter and relevant UN resolutions.

The day was marked by public processions, seminars, conferences, special prayers to support the cause Kashmir.

Kashmiris fighting against illegal Indian occupation: CM Balochistan

QUETTA, Feb 05 (APP): Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Qudus Bizenjo on Sunday said the Kashmiri people are fighting for independence and their right to self-determination from the usurping occupation of India.

In a message issued on Kashmir Solidarity Day, the CM said thousands of young men, children, elderly and women have sacrificed their lives in the just struggle of Kashmir.

“The Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the wishes of the Kashmiris for peace in the region, Chief Minister said.

About the PSL match being played in Quetta, he said cricket is coming back to Balochistan after many decades.

“We dedicate today’s match to the name of our brave Kashmiri brother, our prayers and moral support are with the Kashmiri brothers,”

He further said soon illegally occupied Kashmir will emerge as an independent state on the horizon of the world after being freed from Indian state oppression.
