Caretaker CM thanked nation for Kashmir Solidarity Day observance

LAHORE, Feb 05 (APP):Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has thanked the nation especially people of the province for observing Kashmir Solidarity day in a befitting manner and expressed his gratitude to the people for vigorously participating in the Kashmir Solidarity Day events and rallies.

A vociferous voice was raised against the oppression and brutality of India in the Occupied Kashmir as the whole nation expressed their complete solidarity and gave a clear message to India that Pakistan and Kashmir are closely knitted in a single string.


The people thronged the streets and exposed the Indian atrocities being committed in the Occupied Kashmir. Alive nations always unite with determination and resolve to attain a great objective.

The Pakistani nation proved that they hold an indelible relationship with the Kashmiri people and this relationship will remain forever.


Caretaker CM paid rich tributes to the minority communities especially Hindus, Sikhs and Christians as they all also raised a single voice for the Kashmir cause.

Kashmir Solidarity Day observed in Larkana with traditional zeal, fervor

LARKANA, Feb 05 (APP): The Kashmir Solidarity day was observed throughout Larkana, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Kandhkot-Kashmore districts on Sunday to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people struggling for their inalienable right to self-determination and facing unprecedented atrocities by the hands of the cruel Indian security forces.

Special prayers for the success of the movement for Kashmiri freedom were also offered. The participants also prayed for the prosperity of the country and Muslim ummah.

On this occasion, the participants of the rallies observed one minute’s silence.

Marking the occasion, schools, colleges, all the government, and semi-government offices, in all towns of Larkana, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Kandhkot-Kashmore remained closed.

The rallies were participated by the young generation including children, students, and scouts in all the talukas of all the five districts of Larkana Division.

The protesters praised the efforts being made by the present government on this vital issue and hoped that under the dynamic leadership of President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif this problem would be resolved which is in the interest of both Pakistan and India.

Radio Pakistan Larkana and private radio channels broadcasted special programs to mark Kashmir Solidarity day with great zeal.

Programmes were also held in Government Pilot Secondary School, IBA Public School, Government Girls College, and others institutions and colleges.

Saudi school holds farewell party to bid adieu Pakistani student

ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP): A primary school in Saudi Arabia held a farewell party to bid adieu to a Pakistani student Ahmed who was returning to his home country following the death of his father.

Ahmed’s family, who were residents of Saudi Arabia, decided to return to Pakistan following the death of his father.

The Saudi Cultural Attaché in Pakistan on his Twitter handle, shared the video in which a teacher of ‘Bisha Elementary School’ could be seen escorting the child and his schoolmates lining up in the hallway for a cake-cutting ceremony.

The event was participated by teachers and a large number of students. In addition, a certificate of appreciation was also awarded to the student wearing soccer T-shirt, who thanked Saudi Arabia for this kind gesture.

“We are humans! This is how our school staff, including faculty and students, bade farewell to our son, Ahmed, from the Pakistani community, as he leaves our country, Saudi Arabia, for his country Pakistan,” said the Bisha Education Department on its social media account Twitter.

Saudi Arabia is all weather friend of Pakistan and home to nearly 2.5 million Pakistani expatriates, who live and work in Saudi Arabia and remit around $6.5 billion annually to the South Asian country.

In a tweet on social media platform Twitter, he said, “I am grateful to people of Pakistan belonging to all walks of life including overseas Pakistanis for their passionate participation in observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day. Pakistan has conveyed a powerful message of support to Kashmiris in their just struggle for self-determination.”

PML-N to form govt in Punjab: Rana Sana Ullah

MULTAN, Feb 05 (APP): Federal Minister for Interior Rana Sana Ullah Khan on Sunday said that Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) would win elections and form a government in Punjab.

While addressing the workers’ convention here, Rana Sana Ullah stated there was propaganda that PML N was afraid of contesting elections.

The minister categorically rejected the said propaganda and anticipated the PML(N) victory in Punjab’s elections whenever they were held.

“Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) has always delivered and it would continue to serve the people with the same spirit in the future also,” said Sanaullah.

He recalled the country made matchless progress during past governments of the PML(N).

“The whole world witnessed that Pakistan was heading towards the journey of achieving the status of Asian Tiger in terms of progress during the PML N previous regimes,” he said.

“The PML(N), under the leadership of the then prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif rejected the external pressure and conducted five nuclear tests,” adding the PML N government also abolished the menace of terrorism from the country alongside load-shedding.

The minister criticized the PTI leadership for “creating troubles”.

The minister said, “In 2014, PTI staged protest demonstrations and tried to stop the journey of progress and prosperity. Imran Khan is following the politics of agitation in the shape of long marches, sealing Islamabad on the pretext of a date for elections.”

Swabi Police arrest 4 terrorists; recover arms, ammunition

PESHAWAR, Feb 05 (APP): Swabi Police arrested four terrorists and recovered weapons of different bores from their possession to save districts from destruction.

Addressing a joint press conference, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Mardan Mohammad Ali Khan and District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi, Captain (Retd) Najmul Hussnain told media on Sunday that the arrested terrorists are Saqib, a resident of Bajaur; Abdul Rehman, resident of Hund (Swabi); Imran, resident of Mohmand; and Zubair, resident of Bajaur were planning to target police and important installations.

They said that on January 30, 2023, district police during an operation had killed terrorists, including terrorist Commander Izharullah, involved in dispatching terrorists’ teams from Afghanistan and were planning for terror activities and the target killing of police personnel.

The RPO Mardan said that the arrested terrorists were members of the deadly network and had arrived from Afghanistan during the month of November last year.

The police officials said that the killed terrorist, Izharullah was wanted by police in connection with the targeted killing and attacking police stations with hand grenades. He was carrying head money of Rs.2 million.

Terrorist commander Izharullah had martyred police personnel Mubasir Nader, Bakhtiar, Sajid and Bakht Munir, and was also involved in attacking police stations Kalo Khan and Yar Hussain with hand grenades.

Arms and ammunition recovered from the arrested terrorists included 5 kilograms of explosive material; 18 AGL hand grenades; 9 hand grenades; 18 electronic detonators; 60 feet safety fuse; 60 feet prima/detonating card; 2 trans meters; 2 receivers; 1 AGL launcher; 2 Kalashnikov; 1 pistol; 237 cartridges of various bore, 49 dry battery seals; 2 volt battery; 2 icon wireless sets; 1 bag; 4 bundle wire; 4 magazines; 2 SMG wire; 7 mobile phone sets; 78 CD disc and a passport in the name of Abdul Rehman.
