Imran criticizes national institutions: Javed Latif
ISLAMABAD, Feb 14 (APP):Federal Minister Mian Javed Latif said on Tuesday that the PTI Chairman Imran Khan regularly criticizes national institutions.
Talking to a private news channel, the minister said Imran Khan keep blackmailing the system during his tenure and politically victimized his opponents.
Commenting on elections, he said the provincial and general elections shouldn’t be held separately.
He said that by the time of elections in two provinces, the federal government would be intact then Imran Khan would raise objections about the impartiality of the elections.

Minister Abdul Shakoor for measures to root out corruption from country
ISLAMABAD, Feb 13 (APP): Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Mufti Abdul Shakoor on Monday said the government should take adequate measures to meet the scourge of corruption in the country.
Taking part in debate on terrorism in the joint session of parliament, he said the “state institutions performance are declining with every passing day as officials concerned are allegedly involved in the corrupt practices”.
To bring them at par with profitable organizations, the social evil of corruption should be eliminated from every nook and cranny of the country, he maintained.
Abdul Shakoor said terrorism was a big issue of the country for a long time.
He said the economic terrorism was one of the biggest issues and it should be properly handled at the grassroots level because it had badly disturbed the normal lives of the people, socially and economically.
He accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan for financial destruction in the country by introducing bad economic policies during his almost four-year tenure of government.
He said Imran Khan brought a bad name to the country in the comity of nations by “accusing foreign country for hatching conspiracy against his government”.
He asked the government to make Imran Khan “accountable” for his wrong doings who “dragged the country at the brink of bankruptcy”.
The minister said the PTI chief was blaming former army chief “to save his own skin” as Imran himself provided extension in the tenure of General Bajwa’s service.

Minister calls Ulema’s meeting to help quake victims of Turkiye, Syria
ISLAMABAD, Feb 13 (APP):Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Mufti Abdul Shakoor on Monday said the ministry had called a consolidated meeting of renowned Ulema, Mashaykh and religious scholars of all schools of thought to discuss the ways to rehabilitate the earthquake victims of Turkiye and Syria.
The minister said as per Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s direction, all the representative scholars would be consulted about the rehabilitation of the earthquake victims through a video link meeting here.
He said the meeting would seek suggestions for the support and rehabilitation of the earthquake victims of the brotherly countries of Turkiye and Syria.
He said the Turkish nation was facing a very difficult situation due to this natural calamity adding that it had always supported Pakistan in every trying time.
“Our brothers are in dire need of help as they are fighting severe cold weather,” he said urging the people to donate generously to Prime Minister’s Earthquake Relief Fund for Turkey.
Abdul Shakoor said all the chief ministers, federal and provincial ministers should play an active role to help the Turkish and Syrian brothers at this crucial hour of trials and tribulations.
He asked all religious leaders to encourage their kith and kins to actively participate in Prime Minister’s Earthquake Relief Fund.
