PESCO notifies power shutdown

PESHAWAR, May 03 (APP):PESHAWAR, May 3 (APP): Pesco authorities have notified power shutdown in various areas of Peshawar, Abbottabad and Chakdarra due to necessary maintenance work.
According to Pesco, power supply will remain suspended from Peshawar University  Grid Station  on 5 and 6 May from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, resultantly consumers of University Campus, Canal Town, Malakandher, Engineering, Regi, Taj Abad, Taj Abad 2, Agriculture , Mera Achini, HMC, Ring Road, Danish Abad, Ghrib Abad, Rahatabad 1, CMB and Abdara  feeders will face inconvenience.
Power supply will remain suspended from Peshawar University  Grid Station  on 7 May from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, resultantly consumers of Danish Abad, Rahatabad, Agriculture University , Academy Town, Circular Road, Sufaid Dheri, Casually M/Bloc, Achini Mera and Axillary   feeders will face inconvenience.
Similarly, power supply will remain suspended  from Rehman Baba Grid Station  on 7 and 9 May from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, resultantly consumers of  Kachori, Shalozai, Safdar Abad, Khanmust, New Hazar Khwani, Surizai, Phandu Baba, Urmar 2, Hazar Khwani, Yakatooth, New Chairman Daftar, Jameel Colony, Ring Road, Beri Bagh, Rashid Ghari, Surizai, Akhon Abad, Ring Road 2, SIDB feeders will face inconvenience.
Power supply will remain suspended from Kohat Road Grid Station  on 7 and 9 May from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, resultantly consumers of  PAF Express, Kohat Road, Wazir Bagh, Sonehri Masjid, Bana Mari, Civil Quarter, Nothia, Murshad Abad, Abasin, Old Deh Bahadar, Deh Bhadar, Wazir Abad, Ameen ColonyJ Bara, Nodhya Payan, Murshid Ababad, Dora Road, Nodiya Bahadar, Lundi Arbab 1,2,3, Sheikh Muhamadi, Pishtakhara, Swati Gate, Gulbarg, Schem Chowk, Chairman Daftar feeders will face inconvenience.
Power supply will remain suspended from Kholian Bala – Havelian – Abbottabad Transmission Line on 4 May from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, resultantly consumers of Haripur, Kholian Bala, Havelian and 66 KV Havelian and Haripur grid connected feeders will face inconvenience.  Power supply will remain suspended from Rampura – Mansehra Circuit Breaker on 4,5 and 6 May from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, resultantly consumers of Muzafarabad, Noseri and Balakot grid connected feeders will face inconvenience.
Power Supply will remain suspended from Chakdara Circuit Breaker on 6 and 7 May  from 8:30AM  to 5 PM, resultantly 132 KV Balakot, Swat, Matta, Khwazakhela, Shangla and Madain grid connected feeders will face inconvenience.
Power supply will remain suspended from Ohgi grid station on 7 May from 8AM to 6 PM, resultantly Ohgi and Battal grid connected feeders will face inconvenience.
Power supply will remain suspended from Mansehra Grid Station on 6 and 11May from 9AM  to 3 PM, resultantly Ghazikot, Ahsan Shaheed, Danish Abad, Attar Sheesha, Shaheen Shaheed, Citti Dheri feeders will face inconvenience.

SNGPL disconnects another 145 connections over gas theft

LAHORE, May 03 (APP):The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) Friday disconnected another 145 connections during its ongoing crackdown over gas theft, while Rs 4.9 million fine was imposed collectively.
According to a spokesman for the SNGPL, in Lahore, the regional team disconnected eight connections over illegal use of gas. The team imposed Rs 0.14 million fine on gas pilferers.
In Multan, 11 connections were disconnected over illegal use while another one was disconnected over the use of compressor.
In Peshawar, the company disconnected 95 connections on account of direct use of gas and Rs 3.32 million fine was imposed on gas thieves. The regional team of Karak disconnected six connections over illegal use of gas and also imposed Rs 0.60 million over gas theft. The team also lodged three FIRs against gas pilferers.
In Bahawalpur, a team disconnected five connections over illegal use of gas while another 12 over use of compressor. The team also imposed Rs 0.22 million fine over gas theft. The regional team of Gujranwala disconnected three connections over illegal use of gas while another one over use of compressor and also imposed Rs 0.60 million fine over gas theft. In Mardan, a team disconnected six connections over illegal use of gas and also imposed Rs 0.06 million fine over gas theft.

Amna Baloch interacts with Pakistani business & finance professionals in Belgium, Luxembourg

BRUSSELS, May 3 (APP):Ambassador of Pakistan to European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg Amna Baloch on Friday interacted with Pakistani business and finance professionals from Belgium and Luxembourg in Brussels.

The delegation included Chairman Luxembourg Intervest Capital Partners Shakil Ahmed, Secretary Luxembourg Ernst & Young Abdullah Sarwar and ACA Member Belgium, Hira Mehmood.

Ambassador Amna Baloch appreciated the important role that Pakistani chartered accountants & finance experts are playing in the development of the economy.

She thanked the ICAP delegation by adding that such regular interactions would help to share more ideas and opportunities, which also advances the Embassy’s purpose.

She expected that today’s interaction would be a harbinger of future collaboration between the embassy and the Pakistani finance professionals in Belgium & Luxembourg

The delegates thanked the ambassador for invitation and support extended by the Embassy.

CM orders to ensure sale of 100gm Roti at Rs 15

MULTAN, May 03 (APP):In compliance with instructions from Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, district administration has started Geo-Tagging hotels and Tandoors in Multan to ensure no one could fleece the people and they get 100 gram Roti at Rs 15 per piece.
According to an official release and information posted on official facebook page, the district administration would ensure sale of 100 gram Roti at a price of Rs 15 per piece at Geo Tagged hotels and Tandoors through a modern online application.
Deputy commissioner Captain (Retired) Rizwan Qadeer has ordered price control magistrates to keep checking shops, hotels and Tandoors on a daily basis and ensure availability of food items to the people at fixed price.

Deputy Chairman Senate, Irfan Siddiqui discuss legislative issues

ISLAMABAD, May 03 (APP):Deputy Chairman Senate Sardar Syedaal Khan and parliamentary leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the Senate, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, held discussions on Friday regarding legislative issues currently under consideration in the Senate.
During a meeting Irfan Siddiqui congratulated Syedaal Khan on his recent election as Deputy Chairman of the Senate, expressing his best wishes for a successful tenure.
He also shared his optimism that Syedaal Khan will guide the Senate proceedings with efficiency and fairness, ensuring that all political parties are given a voice in the decision-making process, said a news release issued here.
During the meeting, both leaders engaged in a detailed conversation about the political situation in the country.
Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan expressed his gratitude to Senator Siddiqui for his kind words and his role as a leader within the Senate. He hoped that presence of Senator Siddiqui, as a parliamentary leader of the Muslim League (N), would serve as a source of strength for everyone.
