ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) Jalat has won the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly election from PK-08, Swat-VI by securing 15,007 votes.
According to the unofficial result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was Awaami National Party (ANP) candidate Iftekhar Ahmed who bagged 11,289 votes.
Overall voters turn-out remained 34.05 per cent.

Pakistan Embassy in Beijing decorated on Chinese New Year, Spring Festival
BEIJING, Feb 9 (APP): Pakistan Embassy in Beijing was decorated with lights and traditional lanterns to show solidarity with the people of China ahead of the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival starting from February 10.
Pakistan Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi felicitated the people of China and shared his good wishes and greetings on the auspicious occasion of Chinese New year and spring festival.
Chinese New Year is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar.
The first day of the Chinese New Year begins on the new moon that appears between January 21 and February 20.
The ‘Year of the Dragon’ officially begins on February 10, 2024 and ends on January 28, 2025.
As the fifth animal in the Chinese zodiac, the dragon is believed to represent strength, health, luck, and Yang – the masculine energy of the universe in Taoist tradition.

PML-N Amir Muqam wins NA-11 election
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate, Amir Muqam has won the election for National Assembly constituency NA-11, Shangla by securing 59,863 votes.
According to the unofficial result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was Independent candidate, Syed Fareen who bagged 54,311 votes.
The voters’ turn-out remained 32.61%.
Malik Shakir Bashir Awan wins NA-87 election
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Candidate Malik Shakir Bashir Awan has won the election for National Assembly constituency NA-87 Khushab-I by securing 1,17,773 votes.
According to the unofficial result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was Independent candidate Umer Aslam Khan, who bagged 108,308 votes.
Overall voters’ turn-out remained 55.39 percent.
Independent Candidate Ejaz Khan wins PS- 88 election
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Independent, Candidate Ejaz Khan has won the Sindh Assembly election from PS-88, Malir-5 by securing 17,580 votes.
According to the unofficial result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was Syed Muzamil Shah of PPPP’s, who bagged votes 12,762.
Overall voters’ turn-out remained 37.88 %.
Independent Candidate Javed Imran wins PK-113 election
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): An Independent Candidate Javed Imran has won the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly election from PK 113, D.I.Khan-III by securing 4,200 votes.
According to the unofficial result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was an Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) candidate Haji Muhammad Aqeel who bagged 1,270 votes.
Overall voters turn-out remained 45.25 per cent.
PML-N’s Muhammad Hanif Abbasi wins NA-56 election
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Candidate Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has won the election for National Assembly constituency NA-56 Rawalpindi-V by securing 96,649 votes.
According to the unofficial result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was Independent candidate Shehryar Riaz, who bagged 82,613 votes.
Overall voters’ turn-out remained 44.84 percent.
PPPP’s Mahmood Alam Jamot wins PS- 87 election
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians’ (PPPP),Mahmood Alam Jamot has won the Sindh Assembly election from PS-87, Malir-4 , by securing 19,220 votes.
According to unofficial result issued by Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was independent candidate Taus Khan, who bagged vote 7,703.
Overall voters’ turn-out remained 44.79 %.
Independent candidate Mujahid Ali wins NA-21 election
ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP): Independent candidate, Mujahid Ali has won the election for National Assembly constituency NA-21, Mardan-I by securing 116,049 votes.
According to the unofficial result issued by the Returning Officer/ECP, his runner-up was Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan candidate, Azam Khan who bagged 60,373 votes.
The voters’ turn-out remained 46.90%.
