Bugti reaches Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to attend Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s death anniversary

QUETTA, Apr 14 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Sunday reached Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to attend the 45th death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the founder of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Along with Chief Minister of Balochistan, Members of Provincial Assembly Mir Zahoor Ahmed Balidi, Haji Ali Madad Jatak, Obaidullah Gurgej, Information Secretary of PPP Balochistan Sardar Sarbaland Khan Jogizai and other leaders also reached Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.

The Balochistan chief minister will attend and address the anniversary ceremony of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

President summons joint session of Parliament on April 18

ISLAMABAD, Apr 14 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the joint session of the Parliament on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 4:00 pm.

The President summoned the joint session of Parliament in exercise of the powers conferred by article 54(1) and 56(3) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The notification to call the joint session of Parliament on April 16 stands cancelled.

President witnesses flag hoisting ceremony at Naudero House

NAUDERO, Apr 14 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari Sunday witnessed the national flag hoisting ceremony at Naudero House here.

On the occasion, a smartly turned out contingent of Sindh Police presented guard of honour to the President. He prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country.
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur and officials of Sindh government were also present.

Legendary actor Nadeem’s 26 films released on Eid-ul-Fitr days in 50 years

HYDERABAD, Apr 14 (APP): Legendary actor Nadeem has worked in over 210 films during his film career, contributing 26 films which were released on the days of Eid-ul-Fitr from 1968 to 2018.
 According to a report of Showbiz website, Nadeem debuted with a block buster Chakori which was released on May 1967  and did Platinum Jubilee, consequently his second film ‘Chotay Sahib’ also did Golden Jubilee however ‘Sangdil’ was  his first film which was screened on Eid-l fitr day ( 02-11-968) followed by 25 other releases on Eid-u-fitr days on different dates including ,Saughat (1970), Suhaag (1972), Miss Hippy (1974), Dard(1977), Play Boy (1978), Badalttey Mausam (1980), Watan(1981), Deewangi (1983), Basera (1984), Kamyabi(1984), Hesaab (1986),  Choron Ki Baraat (1987), Abdullah the Great (1992), Katwal (1993), Khuda Gawah (1993), Khandan (1994), Jeeva (1995), Khazana (1995), Mafia (1997), Muhafiz(1998), Tarap(2006), Bhai Laug (2011), Love main Gum (2011), Azaadi (2018) and Wajood (2018).

Rescue 1122 rescues 662 people on Eid days in Muzaffargarh

MUZAFFARGARH, Apr 14 (APP):District Emergency Officer (DEO) Rescue 1122 Dr Hussain Mian said that they had rescued 662 people during Eid-ul-Fitr across the district.
While giving details to the media about the accidents that occurred on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, DEO said that Rescue 1122 responded to 665 emergencies including 148 road traffic, 471 medical emergencies, 09 fire emergencies, 14 crime emergencies and 22 miscellaneous emergencies and one fall from height.
Rescue 1122 responded to these emergencies in time and rescued a total of 662 people, out of which 245 people were given first aid on the spot and 399 patients were shifted to the hospitals while 18 people died on the spot.
Likewise, observation posts were established at recreational places including Head Muhammad Wala, Chenab Bank Multan road, Head Panjnand and Head Taunsa in order to prevent drowning incidents during Eid-ul-Fitr.
Dr. Hussain Mian also informed that heartbreaking incident that happened on the second day of Eid at Mud Wala a suburb of Alipur, in which an outlaw brutally killed his five innocent daughters, two sons and his wife. Four ambulances of Rescue 1122 immediately responded to the spot and covered the dead bodies and shifted to DHQ hospital.
While the second major emergency occurred due to fire at the eco-feed factory near Kunal Sharif Jhang road, where Rescue 1122 Muzaffargarh conducted joint fire operation with the teams of Rescue Multan started firefighting operation and brought fire under control.
