LAHORE, Nov 22 (APP): Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) President Syed Talat Mahmood said has that the bank has achieved rating as AAA/A-1+ in very short period due to commitment and continuous efforts of the present management.
Talking to media at inauguration of new ZTBL branch here at Batapur, he said the ZTBL is constantly making every effort to convey its Agri credit facilities to farmers at their doorstep.
Since Batapur is famous for wheat, rice and vegetables crops and as the main staple food growing area, he said, the new ZTBL branch would play an important role in speedy facilitation of the local farmers.
Syed Talat said as per vision of Prime Minster and instructions of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the ZTBL management is striving hard to acquire and introduce latest technologies in the bank’s operations.
The ZTBL, he added, is also providing facility of collection of Hajj applications, utility bills and easy transaction of money from abroad in collaboration with Western Union as well as established yet a new bench-mark in the history of banking by launching U-Paisa mobile banking scheme, while the ATM facility would be available at all ZTBL branches in near future.
He said, “Today we are proud to say that the achievements of the bank have gained the trust of farmers’ community.” The farmers should also cooperate with the bank by depositing their loan money back into ZTBL in the stipulated time, he urged.
Syed Talat expressed the resolve that ZTBL would continue to help the farmers/growers with same spirit to achieve the target of self-sufficiency in agriculture.
