ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP):Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul Wazir has appealed the parents and civil society to actively participate in the nationwide measles vaccination campaign.
In a video message, the minister said that she inaugurated the two week-long measles vaccination campaign in Dera Ghazi Khan, her hometown.
She said this is an awareness campaign initiated by the government with aim to create awareness, so we ensure our children do not fall foul of this totally preventable disease.
The minister said that thousands of children affects due to this disease in the country. She said that the campaign aims to save our children from the measles.
During a nationwide anti-measles campaign from October 15 to October 27, approximately 31.8 million children aged from 9 to 59 months will be vaccinated across the country.
