ISLAMABAD, Dec 24 (APP): Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community, calling the festival a powerful symbol of love, sacrifice and hope, and reaffirming that Christians are an inseparable part of Pakistan’s national fabric.
In his message, Barrister Danyal said Christmas is not only a religious occasion but a reminder of humanity’s shared values of compassion, forgiveness and service to others.
He stated that the birth of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) teaches the world to stand with the weak, protect the vulnerable and spread peace beyond religious boundaries.
The leader paid glowing tribute to the contributions of the Christian community in every walk of life, especially in education, healthcare, public service and nation-building.
He said the community has always stood shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the nation in difficult times and has played a proud role in strengthening Pakistan.
Barrister Danyal stressed that Pakistan was founded on the principle of equal rights for all citizens, regardless of faith, and that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision guarantees freedom, dignity and security to minorities.
“Our churches, our mosques, our temples and our gurdwaras are all part of the same homeland. An attack on one is an attack on the soul of Pakistan,” he said, adding that the government and society must work together to eliminate prejudice and protect the rights of every citizen.
He urged the nation to turn Christmas into a moment of collective reflection and unity, saying that real celebration lies in standing together against hatred and intolerance.
“Today, the entire nation celebrates with our Christian brothers and sisters. Their joy is our joy, their peace is our peace, and their future is tied with the future of Pakistan,” Barrister Danyal concluded.
