Young international taekwondo athlete Syed Abu Huraira Shah meets PTF chairman in Fujairah

ISLAMABAD, Feb 04 (APP): Young international taekwondo athlete Syed Abu Huraira Shah met Chairman Pakistan Taekwondo Federation Col. Waseem Ahmed Janjua (R) in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.

Syed Abu Huraira Shah told APP on Wednesday that he extended heartfelt congratulations to Col. Waseem Ahmed Janjua on being elected Chairman of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, saying that it was due to his leadership that taekwondo gained a clear identity in Pakistan and developed on organised and professional lines.

He said that during Col. Waseem Ahmed Janjua’s tenure as president of the federation, athletes received full support, and expressed hope that the same commitment and encouragement would continue following his elevation as chairman for the further promotion of the sport.

The young athlete said that credit for hosting international taekwondo championships in Pakistan also goes to Col. Waseem Ahmed Janjua, describing it as a reflection of his untiring efforts, vision and leadership. These international events, he added, provided Pakistani athletes with valuable exposure and helped raise the standard of taekwondo at the national level.

Abu Huraira further told APP that a major international taekwondo event is planned to be held in Pakistan in the future, terming it a significant development not only for the sport but also for projecting a positive image of Pakistan at the global level.

He expressed optimism that under the leadership of Col. Waseem Ahmed Janjua, Pakistan taekwondo would continue to progress and Pakistani athletes would achieve greater success on the international stage.
