Yaum-e-Ashur observed with religious solemnity in Sialkot

SIALKOT, Sep 21 (APP)::Yaum-e-Ashur was observed with religious solemnity in the district peacefully amid tight security on Friday.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tahir Wattu told the newsmen that 154 Tazia, Alam and Zuljinnah processions were taken out in the district amid tight security and hundreds of Majalis were also held.
The processions were concluded at the main Imambargahs in Imam Sahib Chowk, Adda Pasruriyan and the other Zuljinnah processions merged in the main procession at Chowk Shaheedaan here in which thousands of mourners participated.
The religious scholars also highlighted the significance of the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.
