Corrupt politicians have no space in politics of South Punjab: Fayyaz Chohan

LAHORE, Dec 22 (APP):Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan Saturday said that the Christian community played a pivotal role in Pakistan Movement and their festival, Christmas, teaches the lesson of unity, peace and love.

The minister assured that festivals of minority
communities would be fully safeguarded and protected
like Muslims’ festivals.
He was addressing a ceremony held in connection with
Christmas at Alhamra to express solidarity with Christian
employees, which was attended amongst others by Executive
Director Lahore Arts Council and other senior officers.
The minister, along with Lahore Arts Council Executive
Director, cut the X-mas cake for the Christian employees
and congratulated them on the eve of Christmas.
Later, Fayyaz-ul-Hassan attended a Christmas event,
held by the University of Lahore and expressed gratitude
to the management for inviting him on the event.
The minister paid rich tributes to the university for
rendering valuable services in education and research.
He said that our Christian brothers had supported the PTI
mission, envisioned by Imran Khan who was striving for removing
sense of deprivation and alienation amongst minorities.
