FAISALABAD, June 27 (APP): State Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali on Monday said the government was working on war footing to bridge gap between demand and supply of electricity.

Addressing an open court at FESCO Headquarters here, the State Minister said the people were being provided maximum relief during the holy month of Ramazan ul Mubarak.

He said the people were being provided uninterrupted power supply during Sehr, Iftar and Taraveeh times whereas minimum load management was being implemented during remaining day hours.

He directed the FESCO officers to listen to the consumers’ complaints patiently and take appropriate steps to redress the same on top priority basis.

He said that he would personally hear public complaints of electricity consumers by holding open courts (Khuli Katchery) and take action against those officers and officials of the FESCO who were found involved in any kind of misappropriation, corruption, negligence, lethargy or delinquency.

The Minister also heard 67 complaints of the consumers during his Khuli Katchery and issued on spot orders for redressal of the same.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Rasheed Aslam and other officers were also present.
