Women role vital for socio-economic development : Shafqat

ISLAMABAD, Mar 7 (APP):Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood Thursday said the women role was vital for the socio-economic development of the country.
The minister expressed these remarks while addressing a seminar title “Role of Women in Development of Pakistan and Our Social Responsibilities” organized here by the National Council of Social Welfare.
He said no nation could progress without the active-participation and support of women, adding, Pakistani women were contributing greatly in every fields of life.
The minister also said women were rendering great services in the educational institutions by playing their pivotal role to imparting education to our children.
Describing the challenges being faced by the women in Pakistan, he urged the society to respect the women in all fields so that they felt safe while working with men.
