ISLAMABAD, Jan 9 (APP):Governor Balochistan Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on Wednesday said that no country can progress if its women are not equal partners in the development process.Talking to a delegation of Balochistan Women Business Association which called on him at Governor House in Quetta, the Governor said it is not possible to materialize the dream of an enlightened future without inclusion of the more than fifty percent of women in the national mainstream, Radio Pakistan reported.
Amanullah said women always played a pivotal role in strengthening national economy.
“There is no chance for the welfare of the country unless the condition of women is improved, he
emphasized
He said various initiatives had been taken to support home-based women workers by way of skill enhancement and advocacy on their labour rights.
The incumbent government attaches high priority to equal rights and opportunities to everyone in order to ensure justice, equality and rule of law, he maintained.
