Woman among five arrested for alleged sale of newborn girl

FAISALABAD, Aug 17 (APP):Tarkhani police on Monday arrested a woman and four others for allegedly selling a newborn baby girl.

According to a police spokesperson,accused Sadia gave birth to a baby girl around two weeks ago and allegedly sold her to Parveen for Rs.15,000.

Later,Parveen allegedly sold the baby girl for Rs.50,000 to Irfan,Ghazi Sakandar and Roopa Chana in Lahore.

Police took immediate action and arrested all the accused and recovered the baby girl from their possession,the spokesperson said.

Police have registered a case against the accused and initiated further legal proceedings.
