ISLAMABAD, Dec 8 (APP): Wireless Local Loop (WLL) operators have launched the Biometric Verification System (BVS) to issue WLL connections at their customer service centers (CSC) on December 1.
As per directives of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the WLL operators during the first phase of the project were required to deploy BVS at their CSCs by November 30.
The set deadline has been successfully met by WLL operators after which WLL connections like Vfone, EVO, Wingle, wireless dongles, etc. used for providing broadband service, are being issued after biometric verification of subscribers.
