ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP):The World Health Organization (WHO) has trained doctors and healthcare professionals from public hospitals and treatment facilities on dengue case management
The focus of the training is on updated clinical guidance, early detection and timely treatment to prevent severe complications and save lives.
The training aimed to strengthen healthcare professionals’ capacity to identify dengue symptoms, monitor warning signs and provide appropriate clinical care in line with updated recommendations and global best practices.
Emphasizing the importance of preparedness and early intervention, WHO highlighted that timely diagnosis, close monitoring of patients and prompt management of warning signs were essential to reducing the risk of severe dengue and improving patient outcomes.
The initiative underscores the importance of strengthening clinical capacity and ensuring effective management of dengue cases, particularly during periods of increased transmission.
