ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP):The World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners are fully supporting the ongoing nationwide polio vaccination drive, targeting nearly 24 million children across 97 districts of Pakistan.
With support from international partners, including the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), government vaccination teams are going door-to-door to administer safe and effective polio vaccines to children under five years of age.
Frontline workers are participating in the campaign to ensure that every eligible child receives polio drops.
The collaborative initiative reflects the commitment of the Government of Pakistan, WHO and its partners to strengthening immunization efforts and eliminating poliovirus transmission.
Health authorities have urged parents and caregivers to cooperate with vaccination teams and ensure that their children receive the required doses to help achieve a polio-free Pakistan.
