ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): WeatherWalay, on Friday, hosted a specialized training session for senior journalists from leading media houses across the country, equipping them with the tools and language to communicate weather information more effectively and responsibly.
The training focused on standardizing language and taxonomy, ensuring that journalists can translate complex meteorological information into clear, consistent, and actionable messages for the public.
While addressing the training session, the Chief Executive Officer, WeatherWalay, Junaid Yamin, said, “Climate change is no longer a distant threat, it’s a lived reality for millions of Pakistanis,” adding, “The media plays a pivotal role in shaping public perception and driving preparedness. Equipping journalists with the right knowledge is essential to ensure that weather information saves lives, not confuses or alarms.”
