ISLAMABAD, Feb 06 (APP): Federal Minister for Water Resources, Mian Muhammad Mueen Wattoo, has strongly condemned the suicide attack at an Imambargah in the Tarlai area, terming it a heinous act against peace, tolerance, and national unity.
In a statement issued on Friday, the minister said that targeting a place of worship is a grave crime and an attack on the collective values of harmony and coexistence. He stressed that terrorism has no association with any religion or sect, adding that terrorists are enemies of humanity.
Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in the attack, Mueen Wattoo extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
The federal minister reaffirmed the government’s resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the families of the martyrs and said that such cowardly acts would not weaken the nation’s determination to eliminate terrorism and uphold peace.
