ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (APP): Chargé d’Affaires of the United States of America to Pakistan, Natalie A. Baker called on by Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar at her office on Friday.
The U.S. delegation included Minister Counselor, Andrew Halus, Public Affairs Officer, Heidi Smith, and Program Management Specialist, Sabir Sharif.
During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening cooperation in the education and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sectors.

The discussion focused on expanding partnerships for skill development, teacher training, digital education, and youth empowerment initiatives across Pakistan.
Wajiha Qamar appreciated the longstanding U.S. support for Pakistan’s education sector, particularly in promoting inclusive learning, girls’ education, and capacity-building programs.
She emphasized the government’s priority to align education and training with emerging market needs to prepare youth for a rapidly changing global economy.
Natalie A. Baker reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to continue working with Pakistan to advance educational reform, innovation, and technical training. She highlighted the success of ongoing U.S.-funded education programs and expressed interest in further collaboration in research, teacher development, and the digital learning ecosystem.
Both sides agreed to explore new opportunities for cooperation to enhance access, equity, and quality in education and TVET, contributing to Pakistan’s human capital development and socio-economic progress.
