ISLAMABAD, Nov 03 (APP): Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, met with Dr Khaled El-Enany, the newly elected Director-General (DG) of UNESCO, at his office on the sidelines of the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Wajiha Qamar congratulated Dr Khaled El-Enany on his election as Director-General and conveyed Pakistan’s best wishes for his tenure. She expressed confidence that his leadership would further strengthen UNESCO’s mission of promoting global cooperation in education, science, culture, and communication, said a press release received here.
During the meeting, Wajiha Qamar reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to UNESCO’s objectives and its active role in advancing inclusive and equitable education, skills development, cultural preservation, and scientific collaboration.
