Uzbek media delegation arrives to deepen Pak-Uzbek ties
ISLAMABAD, Sep 15 (APP):A 10 member Uzbek media delegation arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday for a seven day visit at the invitation of the Government of Pakistan to deepen Pak-Uzbek ties, strengthen media and people to people contacts, and gain first hand insight into Pakistan’s media landscape, cultural heritage, tourism potential and progress in various fields.
The delegation comprises prominent Uzbek television personalities, digital content creators, YouTubers, influencers and social media personalities, who will interact with representatives of public and private sector institutions during their stay.
The visit is aimed at promoting greater media cooperation and facilitating the exchange of content, professional experiences and expertise between the two brotherly countries.
The visiting media personalities will particularly explore Pakistan’s evolving television, digital and social media landscape and the role of these platforms in shaping public discourse, promoting Pakistan’s image and contributing to social and economic development.
They will also have an opportunity to share their observations and experiences with audiences in Uzbekistan through television, digital platforms and social media, helping build a deeper understanding of Pakistan.
As part of the visit, the delegation will tour major cultural, historical and tourist destinations in Islamabad, Murree, Taxila and Lahore.
The visitors will explore Pakistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage, including the ancient civilisation of Taxila and Lahore’s distinctive architectural and historical legacy.
In Islamabad, the delegation will visit Faisal Mosque, one of Pakistan’s most prominent modern architectural landmarks, where they will observe its distinctive design and the blend of contemporary architecture with the country’s centuries-old cultural traditions.
The visit forms part of Pakistan’s efforts to promote greater understanding between the peoples of Pakistan and Uzbekistan and strengthen longstanding fraternal relations through enhanced media engagement, cultural exchanges, tourism and people-to-people contacts.
The visit is also expected to enhance the visibility of Pakistan’s diverse cultural heritage, tourism potential, economic development and contemporary achievements among Uzbek audiences, while opening new avenues for cooperation between the media communities of the two countries.
