ISLAMABAD, Feb 5 (APP):Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda Tuesday strongly condemned grave human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) and said the indiscriminate use of pellet guns against innocent Kashmiris had exposed ugly face of India.
In his message on “Kashmir Solidarity Day” he said, “The blatant use of pellet guns against unarmed and innocent Kashmiris has exposed the ugly face of Indian government and its forces in occupied Kashmir.”He said it was unfortunate that the innocent children were being targeted through pellet guns, making them blind and causing other injuries that led to various disabilities.
The minister said inhuman treatment with Kashmiri mothers and sisters at the hands of Indian forces in IoK was not acceptable.
He said massive human rights violations in IoK had exposed India who claimed to be one of the world’s biggest democracies.
The minister said thousands of innocent Kashmiris had sacrificed their lives to achieve their right to self-determination and get rid of Indian subjugation.
He said the indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmiris would not go waste as sooner or later they would oust the occupational forces from their motherland.
He urged the international community to pressurize India for peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute as per the resolutions passed by United National Security Council.
He expressed confidence that the longstanding issue of Kashmir between Pakistan and India would be resolved under dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said Pakistan will continue extending all possible support to people of Kashmir for their right to self-determination, adding that Pakistan would never compromise on the Kashmir issue.
