US lawmakers’ reservation not to affect F-16 delivery: Asif

ISLAMABAD, Jan 18 (APP): Minister for Defence Khawja Asif on Monday informed the National Assembly that the reservations of United States lawmakers would not affect delivery of F-16s to Pakistan.
Only a few lawmakers had expressed their reservations in the House of Representatives but the US would not stop delivery of F-16 fighters.
He was replying to a point-of-order raised by Arif Alvi of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, who had drawn the attention of the Defense Minister regarding media reports about F-16s.
The minister said he would further apprise the House after getting more details in this regard.
