LAHORE, Sept 16 (APP): US Consul General to Lahore Yuriy Fedkiw wished the heartiest Eid greetings to Pakistani friends and colleagues and expressed his excitement on celebrating his first Eid in Lahore.
In a video message posted on the US Consulate Lahore facebook page on Friday, the US diplomat is heard wishing Eid in Urdu “Meri taraf se ap sab ko dili eid mubarak” (Heartiest Eid greetings to all of you from me). He also voiced his desire to visit the historic sites in Lahore
in the months and years to come.
In an earlier video message on the Eid day (Tuesday), Yuriy communicated his liking for the Pakistani cuisine as he enjoyed ‘nihari’ (chicken broth sprinkled with garlic, green chillies) breakfast on the festive Eid-ul-Azha morning at the consulate.
Later, in the video, the US diplomat is also seen wishing ‘Eid
Mubarak’ with US Consulate’s Public Affairs Officer Rachel Chen.
