Upgradation, reorganisation of civil armed forces to be completed by December, Senate told

ISLAMABAD, Jun 13 (APP): State Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Baleegh-ur-Rehman Monday said that the up gradation
and re organisation of civil armed forces would be completed by
December 2016.

Responding to a Calling Attention Notice in Senate, the state
minister said the services of 17,280 personnel would be hired in 22
wings of civil armed forces out of which the recruitment of 6,000
officials of civil armed forces have been complete while the
recruitment of 10,000 was under process right now.

Over 4,500 would be recruited in the six wings of Special
Services Group (SSG) out of which the hiring of the services of 730
personnel were in process.

Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum, the mover of the Calling Attention
Notice, said the civil armed forces should be upgraded to meet modern
day challenges. Civil Armed Forces have demanded Rs 90 billion for
completing their up gradation process in next three years.

Civil Armed Forces should be provided heli copters, night
vision devices and telecommunication facilities for effective border
management and control.
