ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP):President of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj has directed the universities to ensure foolproof arrangements for smooth conduct of MDCAT- 2025.
Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj chairing a high-level meeting with the Registrar PM&DC, head of the Examination Department, and Vice Chancellors of the universities responsible for conducting the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025.
During the meeting, universities were directed to review and finalize all necessary arrangements to ensure the fair, transparent, and secure conduct of the MDCAT 2025 examination.
It was emphasized that all examination venues must have proper seating arrangements and adequate facilities to accommodate candidates comfortably.
Security protocols are to be strengthened through the installation of signal jammers to prevent the use of unauthorized electronic devices.
Universities were also instructed to provide suitable heating or cooling facilities according to weather conditions and ensure the availability of drinking water for all candidates.
In addition, appropriate waiting areas should be arranged for parents and guardians outside examination centers.
To maintain transparency, universities will provide bubble sheets with carbon copies to all candidates and ensure complete secrecy of question papers.
Question papers are to be opened only in the presence of authorized witnesses. After the examination, all bubble sheets must be promptly collected and securely stored.
The original examination papers will be retained by the respective universities for 12 months from the date of result declaration.
Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj emphasized that MDCAT 2025 results should be compiled and announced within one week of the examination.
A comprehensive post-hoc analysis report must be submitted within 10 days after the final results.
The official answer key will be uploaded on the university’s website immediately after the examination, and candidates will be allowed to apply for rechecking of marks within three days of the result announcement.
The President also stated that the admission process will be the sole responsibility of the provincial authorities and admitting universities, which must complete admissions by 28th February 2026.
The PM&DC will have no role in the admissions process, as it falls under the jurisdiction of the respective provincial universities.
All participating universities were instructed to strictly adhere to these directives to ensure that the entire MDCAT 2025 process is carried out with fairness, confidentiality, and efficiency.
