ISLAMABAD, Jan 10 (APP): An eight-member delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), led by Ahmed Bin Lahij Al Falasi, Director General of Customs and Port Security, visited the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Headquarters in Islamabad on Saturday.
FIA official told APP on Saturday that the visiting delegation was given a detailed briefing on the FIA’s mandate, organizational structure and its key operational wings.
During the session, Director General FIA Riffat Mukhtar Raja highlighted the Agency’s ongoing initiatives to curb human trafficking, migrant smuggling and immigration-related crimes. He also informed the delegation about the functioning of the Risk Analysis Unit and the establishment of Pre-Departure Facilitation Centres across all FIA zones to assist outbound international passengers.
The visit concluded with the Director General FIA presenting a souvenir to the UAE delegation as a gesture of goodwill, cooperation, and strengthening bilateral working relations.
