Two standing committees’ reports presented in Senate

ISLAMABAD, Jun 17 (APP):Chairman, Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat, Senator Rana Mahmood Ul Hassan on Wednesday presented two different reports in the upper house of the parliament.
Chairman, Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat, Senator Rana Mahmood Ul Hassan presented the report of the Committee on a Calling Attention Notice moved by Senators Zamir Hussain Ghumro and Jan Muhammad on 14th November, 2025, regarding decision of the Government to appoint Principal Accounting Officers from private sector in violation of relevant law.
Chairman, Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat, Senator Rana Mahmood Ul Hassan presented another report of the Committee on the subject matter of Starred Question No. 31, regarding civil service examination, asked by Senator Anusha Rahman Ahmad Khan, on 11th March, 2025.
The house also adopted the motion moved by Chairman, Standing Committee on Law and Justice, Senator Farooq Hamid Naek under sub-rule (1) of Rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the time for presentation of report of the Committee on a bill further to amend the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 [The Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025], introduced by Senator Shahadat Awan on 1st December, 2025, may be extended for a period of sixty days with effect from 29th June, 2026.
The house also adopted another motion moved by Chairman, Standing Committee on Law and Justice, Farooq Hamid Naek under sub-rule (1) of Rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the time for presentation of report of the Committee on a Bill to establish the Pakistan Psychological Council [The Pakistan Psychological Council Bill, 2025], introduced by Senator Kamran Murtaza on 1 st December, 2025, may be extended for a period of sixty days with effect from 29th June, 2026.
