Two FBR officials martyred in firing incident in Dera Ismail Khan

ISLAMABAD, Oct 06 (APP): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday expressed deep grief over the tragic incident in which two officials of its Enforcement Squad embraced martyrdom while performing their duties at Qureshi Mor, Bypass Road, Dera Ismail Khan.
Three officials of the Enforcement Squad, Sepoy Izharullah, Arm Guard Rahmatullah and Sepoy Sulaiman were performing duty at the designated point at approximately 11:30 AM when unidentified armed persons arrived at the location and opened fire upon them, said a news release.
As a result of the firing, Arm Guard Rahmatullah and Sepoy Sulaiman embraced martyrdom, while Sepoy Izharullah remained safe.
Sepoy Izharullah returned fire during the incident, following which the assailants fled the scene. The unidentified persons also took away official arms and ammunition issued to the squad personnel.
Chairman FBR Rashid Mahmood Langrial has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred officials.
He paid homage to their courage and commitment and said that the sacrifices rendered by FBR personnel in the line of duty will not be forgotten.
The FBR stands firmly with the families of its martyred officials and all personnel performing their duties in the service of the country.
