ISLAMABAD, Apr 3 (APP):Turkey on Tuesday expressed deep concern over the casualties in Indian held Kashmir (IHK) and called for efforts to
de-escalate tension between Pakistan and India on this longstanding issue in South Asia.
In a statement released by the Turkish embassy here Turkish ministry of foreign affairs said: “We deem it essential to take measures to de-escalate tension in the region immediately and to show maximum attention for the protection of civilians from the clashes.”
Turkey was “deeply concerned and saddened about the loss of lives and injuries in IHK last weekend,” it said.
Turkish government said may Allah be merciful upon those Kashmiris who lost their lives and gave speedy recovery to the injured.
Meanwhile it is recalled that in a new spate of violence and brute use of force by the Indian security forces in occupied Kashmir at least twenty Kashmiris were martyred in various incidents on Sunday.
