A tribal jirga led by former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shaukatullah Khan on Thursday met with Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam and offered to help reduce political tensions between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and federal governments.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 01 (APP): A tribal jirga led by former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shaukatullah Khan on Thursday met with Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam and offered to help reduce political tensions between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and federal governments.

According to a press released issued here, the tribal elders expressed their readiness to play a conciliatory role in resolving differences between the federation and the province.

Engineer Amir Muqam welcomed the jirga’s offer and said the government would support any initiative aimed at serving the interests of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The jirga delegation included former KP Governor Shaukatullah Khan, Malik Nadir Manan, Malik Khan Marjan, Malik Abdul Razzaq, Malik Sultan Zeb, Malik Fayyaz, Alamgir, Muhammad Sohrab, Wali Muhammad, Malik Ahmed, Malik Muhammad Ayaz, Malik Muhammad Ali and Hafiz-ur-Rehman Bajaur.
