ISLAMABAD, Jul 07 (APP):TikTok removed more than 184 million videos worldwide between January and March 2026 for violating its Community Guidelines, while over 22.5 million videos were taken down in Pakistan during the same period, according to the platform’s Q1 2026 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.
According to the report, TikTok removed 184,012,576 videos globally during the first quarter of 2026, representing approximately 0.5% of all content uploaded to the platform.
Of the total, 178,014,154 videos were detected and removed using automated detection technologies, while 8,838,710 videos were reinstated following further review. The platform maintained a proactive removal rate of 99.3%, with 94.4% of violating content removed within 24 hours of being uploaded.
The report highlights TikTok’s continued efforts to proactively identify and remove content that violates its Community Guidelines, helping create a safer experience for users worldwide.
In Pakistan, TikTok removed 22,535,523 videos for violating its Community Guidelines during the reporting period, representing a removal rate of 0.8% of all videos published on the platform.
Of the videos removed in Pakistan, 99.6% were detected and taken down proactively, while 95.5% were removed within 24 hours of being posted. A total of 690,557 videos were later reinstated following further review.
As part of its ongoing efforts to protect platform integrity, TikTok also removed 86,288,705 fake accounts globally, along with an additional 25,764,372 accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13 during the reporting period.
The report found that 18.6% of the videos removed globally contained sensitive or mature themes that violated TikTok’s content policies, while 12.6% breached the platform’s safety and civility standards.
It added that 16.5% of the removed videos involved dangerous activities and challenges, 12.9% contained body exposure and sexualised behaviour, and 2.1% were identified as edited media or AI-generated content (AIGC).
The quarterly Community Guidelines Enforcement Report reflects TikTok’s commitment to transparency by providing insights into the scale and nature of its content moderation and enforcement efforts.
