Three Standing committees submit reports to Senate

ISLAMABAD, Nov 13 (APP):Three reports were presented in the Senate on Thursday, covering issues of public importance, food security, and health sector financing.
Senator Danesh Kumar on Thursday presented before the House the report of the Committee on a point of public importance raised by Senator Mohsin Aziz on July 15, 2025. The report, submitted on behalf of the committee’s chairman, pertained to the closure of the Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan.
Senator Syed Masroor Ahsan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on National Food Security and Research, presented the committee’s report on the National Agri-trade and Food Safety Authority Bill, 2025. The proposed legislation seeks to establish a regulatory authority.
Senator Amir Waliuddin Chishti, Chairman of the Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, tabled the committee’s report on the budgetary allocation of the Ministry of National Health Services for the financial year 2025–26. The report examined the utilization of funds in accordance with sub-rule (4) of Rule 166 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012.
