SHIKARPUR, Sept 13 (APP): At least 10 persons including
two policemen were injured in a suicide blast during Eid
prayer in Taulka Khanpur, Shikarpur District on Tuesday.
Shikarpur police said four suicide attackers managed to
enter Khanpur city.
In the first incident, police said two attackers targeted Eid prayer ground where one attacker blew himself up injuring 10 people, including two policemen while other attacker managed to flee.
Police and Rescue officials rushed to the site of the
blast. Later, the injured persons were shifted to local
hospitals for treatment.
In the other incident, police foiled another attempt of suicide blast at a shrine in Taulka Khanpur.
Police said two attackers targeted the shrine but were stopped at the entrance point by cops.
As the attackers attempted to flee, one was gunned
down by a cop, whereas the other was arrested by the
police.
