ISLAMABAD, Nov 23 (APP):Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Sunday urged the residents of Islamabad to respect the routes designated for the safety and security of visiting international cricket teams.
Talking to the media at a route placed for the international teams in Islamabad, he said, “I am myself facing the route today and waiting for the international teams to pass by because this is important, not only for your safety and security but also for the guests who have come from overseas.”
He noted that while many people complained about security routes during the movement of teams, there is no harm in bearing these delays for a few moments so that the international cricket restored in Pakistan can proceed effectively.
He cited similar security arrangements worldwide, including in Sri Lanka, where such measures are taken for the safety of international guests.
Unfortunately, it has become a trend to criticize such situations, he said, urging citizens to take these measures in a positive sense.
He added that a time will come when such situations will no longer be necessary, as the government is committed to overcoming these security challenges.
