ISLAMABAD, May 29 (APP): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Thursday extended felicitations to the newly elected office bearers of the Rawalpindi Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA).
The minister, in a statement, congratulated Faisal Sahi on being elected as President, Arif Khan as General Secretary, and Hasnain Liaquat as Finance Secretary.
He also felicitated Shafiq Raja for his election as Senior Vice President, Naveed Khokhar as Vice President, and Ambreen Ali as Vice President for Women.
Tarar emphasized the crucial role being played by sports journalism in promoting positive activities within society and guiding youth.
He described RISJA as an active and dynamic platform, further stating that the association effectively highlights issues within the sports world while upholding journalistic values.
Attaullah Tarar expressed his best wishes for the newly elected officials, hoping that the new leadership will bring about further improvement and progress in the field of journalism.
