Talal Chaudhry pays visit to,  reviews final arrangement

ISLAMABAD, Sep 03 (APP):Acting on the directions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Thursday visited the Islamabad Model Jail to review final construction work and operational arrangements, as the long-delayed project moves closer to completion.

During the visit, Talal Chaudhry inspected ongoing finishing work and reviewed preparations being made before the facility becomes operational. Officials briefed him on the progress of the project and the remaining tasks required for its completion.

Speaking on the occasion, Talal Chaudhry said the completion of the Islamabad Model Jail marks a significant step for a project that had remained pending for many years.

He noted that bringing the project close to completion reflects the government’s efforts to address long-standing infrastructure challenges in the federal capital.

The minister said that, on the instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, authorities are ensuring that all construction and operational work meets the required standards.

He emphasized that quality control remains a key priority throughout the final phase of the project.

Talal Chaudhry also reviewed arrangements related to security, administration, and inmate facilities.

He directed the relevant departments to complete the remaining work within the given timeframe and ensure that all systems are fully functional before the facility opens.

According to officials, the Islamabad Model Jail is being equipped with facilities designed to meet current correctional and administrative requirements. The project is expected to improve prison management and provide better accommodation and operational capacity within the federal capital, they added.
